York is a city in North Yorkshire, England, which lies at the confluence of the Rivers Ouse and Foss. It has a
long history and is particularly noted for York Minster, its cathedral. The name "York" comes from the city's
Latin or Roman name, Eboracum - the horserace, the Ebor Handicap, held each August on the Knavesmire,
reflects the name,

from Manager." This postcard was mailed on 23 Dec in what looks like 1930.
