Worthing is a seaside town in West Sussex, lying at the foot of the South Downs about 10 miles west of
Brighton. The population in 2008 was about 100,000. With its pleasant climate and proximity to the sea,
Worthing has always been a popular spot to retire to, and so has a large proportion of elderly residents.
However, it seems that in recent years the proportion of older people has fallen, whilst surrounding areas have
seen an increase in this age group.
