My mother used to take me to Weston during and just after the war. We stayed in a boarding house, queued for hours for Midland
Counties ice-cream, and wondered where the sea was when the tide was out. I haven't been back there since the early 1970s.
An interesting view of Rozel Shelter and a crowd of men who look as though
they've just been to a Union meeting - or a strip show ! Or perhaps just a
pleasant stroll.

Sand-modelling at Weston. This used to be a very common sight on sandy
beaches, but is now seldom seen, although i have seen it on a Spanish beach.
