postcards of the past
I've been to Toronto once, in the summer of 1967, when we stayed with my cousin and his partner for a couple of nights. They lived somewhere near the lake I think, but other than that my abiding memory is watching a game of cricket in a large park.
This postcard of Queen's Park was mailed in 1903.
Toronto University.
A view of Toronto from St James Cathedral.
The Entrance to University Park.
On the left is the Bank of Commerrce Building, and in the centre the Toronto Star Building. Neither of these postcards has been used, thus we have no dates. The postcard of the Royal Bank Building on the right was mailed in 1925.
An undated postcard of the King Edward Hotel.
The Park Plaza Hotel.
Ford Hotel.
