Salford Priors, Warwickshire
Salford Priors is a small vilage about 6 miles south-west of Alcester. It lies on the Warwickshire-Worcestershire border. We used to drive through it on the way to Evesham, and I played cricket for Wilmcote there once in the 1950s - me and Squidgy Monroe put on 109 in 20 minutes one Sunday afternoon - and we would have been even quicker but the ball got lost in the river ! The village has a website - click here to go there.
A great old postcard of the "Bell".
The Old Nunnery at Salford Priors - an undated postcard.
Old cottages at Salford Priors.

A nice early view of Salford Priors Church. I think the field in the foreground is - or used to be - the cricket ground.
Postcards of the Past
No date for this view of the church.
Do you have any old postcards of Salford Priors ? We would love to include them on this page, with of course an appropriate acknowledgement - we accept good quality images via email !
