Postcards of the Past
Paignton, Devon
Paignton is a seaside resort on Torbay in south Devon. We used to alternate between Paignton, Bournemouth and Brighton for holidays in the 1950s. I once had a month at Paignton - 2 weeks in a caravan at Goodrington and two weeks in a boarding house. Torquay was a bit too posh to stay in those days - we used to go there on the bus from Paignton for a day out.
