University College (known as "Univ") is one of the oldest of the colleges which make up Oxford University,
having been founded in 1249 by William of Durham. For its first 300 years the college was only open to fellows
studying theology, and it was not until 1979 that Univ began accepting female students. The college is one of
the largest in Oxford in terms of student population.

The College has the longest grace of any Oxford College. It is read
before every Formal Hall, which takes place every night except
Saturday. The reading is performed - in Latin - by a Scholar of the
College, the same person doing it for a whole week, accompanied
by whoever is sitting at the head of High Table .
Univ has a great Boat Club - follow this link for
the website. And follow

College website.
