| Towards the end of the thirteenth century, Elias de Hertford founded Hart Hall, on Catte Street, where the oldest parts of the current college are still to be found. The old and new quads are connected by the famous Hertford Bridge, or Bridge of Sighs, which was designed by Thomas Jackson. The College website has a good history of Hertford, so I shall write no more ! |
