| Monaco is a small, sovereign city-state on the north Mediterranean coast a few miles from the Franco-Italian border. Monte Carlo is its principal city. If you get the chance, spend some time sitting outside the Cafe de Paris watching the rich and not-so-rich poseurs - a very amusing way to pass a few hours (and a few euros) on a Sunday afternoon.
