Minneapolis is the largest city in the US state of Minnesota. It lies on both banks of the Mississippi, just north
of its confluence with the Minnesota River, and adjoins the city of Saint Paul so that these "Twin Cities" make
up the sixteenth largest conurbation in the USA with a population in 2010 of 3.5 million.
