| Lucerne, Switzerland |

| Lucerne is the capital of the Swiss Canton of Lucerne, and lies on the lake of the same name. Its population in 2008 was about 76,000. The city enjoys a beautiful location with views of the Alps, especially the nearby Mount Pilatus, and of course Lake Lucerne itself, and is thus a centre for tourism. |
