London Theatres
There are about 50 commercial theatres in London's West End, with the
majority being centered around the Shaftesbury Avenue area. In the Greater
London area outside the West End there are approximately another 50. In
addition many theatres, music halls etc have closed over the years. If you
would like to learn more about any of the theatres illustrated here, or indeed
any of London's theatres, we recommend a visit to
www.arthurlloyd.co.uk, a
super website with theatre histories, memorabilia and some old and new
