| This lovely old building - just off the Exhibition Road - was demolished in the 1950s - the site now houses Imperial College. Only the Queen's Tower (on the left) remains. From the reverse of the postcard : "The Imperial Institute erected in South Kensington as an imperial memorial of the Jubilee of Queen Victoria contains collections of the natural and artificial products of India and the Colonies, as well as a fine reference library. It is under the direction of the Board of Trade. The University of London has had its headquarters here since 1900, the teaching being carried on in various schools of the University elsewhere."
