| The church of St Catherine Cree on Leadenhall Street - escaped the Fire of London and suffered only minor damage in the Blitz, in sharp contrast to the church on the right. It is still used today. |
| St Mary, Aldermanbury - built about 1180, destroyed in the Fire of London in 1666, rebuilt by Wren, destroyed in the Blitz in 1940. The stones were transported to Fulton, Missouri, and the church was rebuilt in the grounds of Westminster College. |
