London's Bridges
There are about 30 bridges across the Thames from Richmond down to the Tower. We are trying to
find old postcards of all of them, although of course there are a couple of bridges which aren't that old !!
There will be some cards here which also appear on other pages.
London Bridge in 1905. This was dismantled in the early 1970s and shipped to Arizona in the USA where it is now a
tourist attraction.

"Blackfriars Bridge - Opened by Queen Victoria in 1869, and widened in 1909,
making it one of the widest bridges in London. It has cost altogether over half a
million pounds."
