County Dublin
County Dublin, or more correctly today the Dublin Region, is the area that contains the city of Dublin and the modern counties of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal and South Dublin. The former County Dublin effectively ceased to exist in 1994 when the local government of the area was reorganised, but as our postcards predate this event, for simplicity we are retaining the old name. There is a separate page of postcards of Dublin City. This being the most densely populated area of Ireland means that there are a large number of towns, villages and suburbs in the region, too many to list - visit Wikipedia to see them all.

Kingstown Harbour. Just to add to the confusion, Kingstown reverted to its original Irish name of Dun Laoghaire in 1921.
