| Cardiff |

| Cardiff - or Caerdydd in Welsh - is the capital and largest city of Wales, with just over one million inhabitants, or more than one third of Wales's population, living in the metropolitan area. It is the seat of the National Assembly for Wales and an important business, cultural, sporting and tourism centre. It has been the capital of Wales since 1955. |
