| Bristol, Avon |
| Bristol is the largest city in south-west England with a population of about 420,000 (2008). Its commercial port was in the city centre but is now on the Severn estuary to the west of the city, although there are still docks etc at the original site. The city centre was badly damaged during World War 2. |
