Bournemouth, Dorset
Bournemouth is the largest city on the south coast of England, about 100 miles south-west of London,
and a major holiday destination with excellent sandy beaches. It used to be a regular holiday venue for
my family in the late 1940s, and I've always enjoyed visiting. We used to have tea in Bobby's Palm Court
and listen to the orchestra - probably a bit different now ! And Bournemouth was in Hampshire in those
days !
