Berlin
Berlin is the capital city and also one of the sixteen states of the Federal
Republic of Germany. After World War II the city was divided and East
Berlin became the capital of East Germany whilst West Berlin was a
separate enclave of the west. Following German reunification in 1990,
Berlin once again became the capital of the whole of Germany.
